January 2025 Volunteer of the Month - Miguel

This month, we are thrilled to recognize Miguel as USO Incirlik’s Volunteer of the Month! Miguel’s unwavering dedication and passion for service have made him an invaluable member of our team. From the moment he joined, Miguel has displayed a go-getter attitude, constantly looking for ways to contribute and going above and beyond to support our mission of connecting service members to family, home, and country.

Miguel is a natural leader, always taking initiative and finding solutions with his “finds a way to yes” mindset. Whether training new volunteers and guiding them with care or tackling big projects like completing the game room lighting and reorganizing our video game binders, Miguel brings a grounding energy that inspires everyone around him. His presence is not only dependable but also fun and engaging—he’s the kind of person everyone loves to be around.

Miguel’s contributions are as impressive as they are varied. Throughout January, he was a constant support for weekend center coverage and closing duties, assisted with shopping and making rotator welcome bags, and championed our new volunteer bingo sheet initiative, ensuring it’s a hit with the team. His exceptional instincts shone when he stepped up within a day of starting at USO Incirlik, taking the lead on Fall Fest preparations and working seamlessly with the ALS class to execute a fantastic event.

Recognized as our Rookie of the Month in October 2024 and earning the Mission Award for November 2024 for his commitment to Do the Right Thing and holding us Accountable, Miguel continues to set the bar high. He has been instrumental in connecting staff with leadership to start the conversation about implementing a new partnership on base to support service members. He consistently finds ways to promote the USO’s resources and mission.

Miguel’s dedication, initiative, and kindness make him not just a rockstar volunteer but a truly exceptional human being. Thank you, Miguel, for all that you do! Your contributions have left a lasting impact on our USO family and the service members we serve. #theUSO
