April 2025 Volunteer of the Month - Perez

This April, we are proud to recognize Perez as our Volunteer of the Month! Since rejoining the team after a year away, Perez jumped back in with incredible energy, initiative, and focus. His thoughtfulness, respectful nature, and introspective approach have made him a huge asset to our center. He quickly became a lead volunteer, showing great progress in his role and stepping up to cover shifts when we were low manned — all with a positive attitude and genuine dedication.

Perez continues to find creative ways to blend his military life with volunteering, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the team. He took the lead in organizing a morale drop for his entire squadron, handling the coordination with ease and ensuring a smooth delivery. He also gives valuable feedback to the staff, offering suggestions that help the center run even more efficiently. His communication skills, both with volunteers and staff, are outstanding, and he consistently goes above and beyond to keep everyone informed and supported.

In addition to his leadership, Perez actively helps maintain the center. From decorating our new chalkboards to updating the PS5 with our most popular games, assisting with Mario’s Midweek Munchies, and even tackling center laundry, he’s always willing to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.
