May 2025 Volunteer of the Month - Peterson

USO Incirlik is proud to recognize Peterson as our Volunteer of the Month for May 2025! From early morning openings to weekly programs and spontaneous projects, Peterson brings creativity, energy, and a true spirit of service into everything she does. She’s a regular fixture at Mario’s Midweek Munchies and Newcomers Lunch, jumping in wherever needed with grace and reliability—and usually with a box cutter in hand, ready to unbox the latest round of center mail and supplies with joy.

Peterson has a natural eye for design and organization, and we’ve been lucky to benefit from both. Not only did she suggest and lead the development of our event chalkboard system to help elevate the look and feel of our programs, but she also helped reorganize our card carousel and even built storage drawers alongside the team. Her attention to detail and love of a good project have made our center feel more vibrant, functional, and welcoming.

Beyond the center, Peterson serves as a connector and advocate—especially with Security Forces—to help to spread the word about the USO and our mission both on and off duty. Her initiative, curiosity, and intuition shine through in all her volunteer work, making her a joy to work with and an invaluable member of our team. Thank you, Peterson, for everything you do and for the light you bring to our USO family!
