March 2021 Volunteer of the Month
Easy to work with, reliable, grounded, and amazing are just some of the words used to describe our March Volunteer of the Month, SSgt Jeffrey Hensyel. When Jeff isn’t working, you’ll find him at his home away from home; hard at work keeping the Center clean and organized, helping with Center shopping, and providing a helpful hand to our guests.
Outside of providing Center support, Jeff is active supporting our outreach programs. He is a stalwart Waffles to Go chef, a constant with our weekly Rations Drop, and a master ice cream scooper at our Shot in the Arm sundae bars. Jeff’s participation in these events have ensured that we can provide support to our service members throughout the IAB. With devoting so much of his free time to the USO, it is no wonder that since joining in January, he has been able to amass over 250 hours, and is on the fast track to hit 500!
Jeff personifies our core values of excellence, collaboration, and gratitude through his dedication to giving back to his service member community here at IAB. We are so very grateful for his continued contribution to our Center and the Base. Congratulations on this achievement, Jeff!
