July 2025 Volunteer of the Month - Nya

USO Incirlik is proud to recognize Nya as our Volunteer of the Month! Since joining our team, Nya has gone above and beyond in every aspect of volunteerism and leadership. From her Rookie of the Month recognition in April 2025 to earning the Bronze Mission Award and stepping into the Lead Volunteer role in June, Nya continues to set the bar high.

Known as one of our resident bakers, Nya keeps morale sweet and spirits high with her homemade cookies, brownies, and a warm, infectious attitude. She’s played a key role in organizing Melted Mondays, Mario’s Midweek Munchies, and several morale drops, and is always the first to jump in when last-minute help is needed—even filling in for three separate event cancellations without hesitation.

Nya is one of just three volunteers selected to conduct new volunteer orientations, and her impact is already clear—she’s helped recruit and train a steady stream of new volunteers, strengthening the team from the inside out. Whether she’s opening, closing, or covering the center when staff are unavailable, Nya always shows up with reliability, good humor, and a readiness to lead.

From center upkeep and shopping to welcome bag prep and event support, Nya has proven to be an indispensable part of the USO family. She’s sharp, honest, and dependable—and never afraid to speak up or receive feedback.
