August 2025 Volunteer of the Month - Chris

USO Incirlik is proud to recognize Chris as our August 2025 Volunteer of the Month! Chris jumped into volunteering with both feet, quickly earning Rookie of the Month in June and soon after stepping into a Lead Volunteer role. In his short time here, he has already logged 180 hours at Incirlik—bringing his lifetime total to 280 hours that began when he started volunteer with the USO in Abu Dhabi last year. His impact has been immediate and lasting, and he continues to raise the bar for what it means to be a dedicated volunteer.

Chris has been a driving force in expanding our programming, most notably by introducing and chairing our Arts & Crafts Committee, bringing a creative new outlet to the center. He also took the initiative to build a ramp to improve accessibility and make it easier for fellow volunteers to move our water cart — a perfect example of his thoughtfulness and problem-solving spirit. From sharing innovative ideas for events, to lifting up the energy in the room with his positivity, Chris is always focused on making the USO a better place for everyone who walks through our doors.

Whether he’s mentoring new volunteers, connecting with our NATO partners, or showing off his skills as a frisbee golf and chess master, Chris has become a cornerstone of our community. He’s a regular supporter of nearly every program, but especially shines at Game Nights and Mario’s Midweek Munchies, where his enthusiasm is contagious. We are incredibly grateful for his passion, creativity, and commitment, and we are proud to celebrate Chris as our Volunteer of the Month! #theUSO
