July 2023 Volunteer of the Month

Tay Williams is our July Volunteer of the Month! Tay has served the USO Incirlik community since November 2022, having accumulated over 160 hours. He recently became a volunteer lead at the beginning of the summer, and has served with quiet strength, wisdom, and poise. Tay is a leader who knows himself well, and his authenticity has given other volunteers inspiration and encouragement to also honor who they are more, and what they value and bring to the USO. During Tay’s time volunteering, he has been consistent in covering the center during weekend shifts, including opening and closing the center when staff have been away on leave, assisting with weekly food programs like grilling for Taste of Home, and often checks in and supports staff with their fitness goals to support wellness within the USO. He has also taken the initiative to organize a Morale Drop for his squadron to not only bring morale to his colleagues he serves with daily, but also bring the USO to them. He planned, organized, and facilitated a BBQ and games. This has garnered new volunteer interest in the USO. Tay demonstrates our core values in how he serves, but especially accountability, doing the right thing, excellence, gratitude, and being mission first. We thank Tay for his unwavering service to USO Incirlik.
