September 2023 Volunteer of the Month

USO Incirlik proudly presents our September 2023 Volunteer of the Month: Carly Clinger!

Carly stepped onto the USO Incirlik volunteer team in her first week on base, and since then, she’s been an absolute ray of sunshine, radiating positivity and energy wherever she goes. She’s not just a volunteer; she’s a true servant leader, embodying the spirit of service and dedication.

Carly’s commitment to the USO is nothing short of remarkable. She’s given a whopping 235 hours of her time, and when you look at her lifetime total, it’s an incredible 475 hours, spanning her service at USO Incirlik, PSAB, and St. Louis Airport.

During her time at Incirlik, Carly has taken the lead on Monday night closings, managing the full operations of the center during July and August. Talk about stepping up to the plate! Her initiative also shone through when she hosted a delightful Taste of Home event, adding a unique flavor to our Sunday dinners with a baked potato bar. She even treated her unit to some ice cream during the scorching summer with a Frozen Friday. And as if that weren’t enough, Carly has been there, lending a helping hand at various 5K events and Freedom Fest, showing her dedication to the USO’s mission in every way possible.

Carly’s “Mission First” mentality perfectly aligns with the core values of the USO, and she’s a mentor to new volunteers, introducing fresh faces to our center and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Her humor and wit are like a breath of fresh air, bringing comical relief to the center staff and the entire volunteer team. Laughter truly is the best medicine, and Carly’s got it in abundance!

Carly, your incredible commitment, leadership, and sense of humor have made a lasting impact on our USO Incirlik family. Thank you for your outstanding service and dedication, and congratulations on being our September Volunteer of the Month!
