December 2023 Volunteer of the Month

In the tapestry of our community, we’re privileged to highlight our December 2023 Volunteer of the Month, the remarkable Dominique “Dom” Ocampo!

Dom, as she’s affectionately known, is a strong and quiet leader who embodies the core values of the USO. She has been consistent in facilitating weekend morning coverage, and has often stepped up to support other volunteers when “life happens” and coverage is requested. Her dedication radiates and brings the values of accountability and excellence to life. Always willing to lend a hand, Dom personifies the spirit of respect and gratitude, creating a supportive environment for all.

What sets Dom apart is her intuitive nature. She anticipates center needs and the needs of guests before they arise, exemplifying the principle of Mission First. This foresight ensures a seamless and efficient operation, showcasing her commitment to Do the Right Thing, and what we have appreciated in Dom being one of our seasoned lead volunteers.

Additionally, Dom is known to some as “Coach.” She’s been gifted this name because, Dom has also gone above and beyond her volunteer role to assist others with life advice and fitness planning in her spare time. This reflects not only her dedication to the USO, but also her commitment to fostering a sense of community and well-being. She motivates, inspires, and supports others to be the best version of themselves mind, body, and soul while reaching their goals.
