February 2026 Volunteer of the Month - Jersey

This month, we are proud to recognize an incredible member of our volunteer squad: Jersey!

From providing consistent support at Mario’s Midweek Munchies to stepping up whenever needed, Jersey truly embodies what it means to be a team player. She consistently takes initiative and makes the absolute most of her time in the center. Her go-getter attitude ensures that there’s never a task left undone. Whether it’s assisting with extensive morale drop preparation, deep cleaning and organizing the center, or jumping in to support events, she does it all with excellence and enthusiasm.

Although she was initially resistant to becoming a Lead, after experiencing just how rewarding volunteering can be, she accepted the role – and we are so grateful she did! We’ve seen how phenomenal she is at mentoring and guiding new volunteers, helping them feel confident, welcomed, and ready to serve. Her leadership has made a lasting impact on both our team and the service members we support.

You’ll see her at just about every event: from Taste of Home (where she even took the initiative to fix up our food serving trays!) to Game Nights to Arts & Crafts, always ready to lend a hand and uplift the atmosphere.
